REMC #1 supports online learning in many forms and many ways.

Online learning can refer to interactive video conference learning.
REMC supports and coordinates daily video conference based shared classes.  This enables districts to share resources in a cost effective manner that enhances curriculum offerings.

Online learning can refer to computer based syncronous interactive learning.
Schools from REMC1 are piloting a class this year from MTU that enables individual students to participate interactively from a computer with an instructor from MTU.

Online learning can refer to computer based asyncronous learning.
REMC 1 works with Michigan Virtual High School and the REMC Association of Michigan to coordinate virtual computer based classes that students can particpate in anytime.
