Have you ever tried to share a website with someone else?  If the website is short like http://www.remc1.net it's not too bad to share, but much beyond that, there lots of opportunities for typos, misunderstandings and other problems. Have you ever tried to share a website with someone else?  If the website is short like http://www.remc1.net it's not too bad to share, but much beyond that, there lots of opportunities for typos, misunderstandings and other problems.

Enter tinyurl.com.  Tinyurl.com is a (free) service that takes a long website and shrinks it to less than 24 characters.

For example to read an article at the NYT on using video games in the classroom, the direct link is http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/30/health/30exer.html?_r=1&ref=education&oref=slogin

The same website after being tinyed  is: http://tinyurl.com/yvmhx5

A much simpler website to type and share.

Enjoy!
